Department of Radio Diagnosis

Initially the department of Radio diagnosis and Radio therapy was under the broad name of Radiology which subsequently was bifurcated into two in dependant departments. It is well equipped with latest state of the art equipments with 128slice MDCT Scanner, Upgraded 1.5 TeslaMRI.2 single slice CT scanner, 6 High definition USG machine and 5 CR machine.

  • The department provides the following services round the clock throughout the year
  • Basic imaging techniques like Chest X ray, Ba study, IVU, MCU, RGU, HSG etc
  • All kinds of USG including Doppler study and USG guided FNAC
  • CT of Head and Neck, thorax, abdomen, CT Angiography, Perfusion study and Cardiac CT
  • MRI of Brain, Spine, MRCP, MSK imaging, MRI abdomen and pelvis etc

Academics:

MD in Radio diagnosis course is recognised by MCI. The annual intake of PG students in the subject is 7(seven) per year. In addition the department runs paramedical courses like Diploma in Radiological Techniques (DMRT). The faculty members of the department take active part in research in addition to routine academic activities. Research papers are published by the staff and the department also organises CME , workshop and conference from time to time.
