Department of Ophthalmology

The department is having 60 (sixty) no of bed and a dedicated Operation theatre. The OPD is open on all week days. It is well equipped with modern gadgets including IDO,OCT, FFA Yag laser, Green and retinal laser. Speciality clinics like Glaucoma clinic, Retina clinic, Oculoplasty and others are functioning. Operation of Anterior Segment like SICS, PHACOEMULSIPHICATION , Postrior Segment, Glucoma, Oculoplasty, Ocular Oncology are regularly done in the department. Eye camp cases for cataract surgery at community base level are done regularly.

Academics:

It is a postgraduate department and the MS and DO courses are recognised by MCI. The annual intake is 5(five) in MS course per year. Research papers are published by the faculty members regularly. The department also organises Eye camp Seminars, CME and workshops are also organised by the department. Participation in state and national seminar are done regularly by PGTs and Faculty.
